CMES signed 2+4 9,000 CEU Methanol PCTC LOI with China Merchants Industry Holdings Xinde Marine News Vivian Xu 2022-12-05 16:35

On December 4, China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) signed 2+4 9,000 CEU Methanol dual-fuel PCTC construction letter of intent (LOI) with China Merchants Industry Holdings.
 
The LOI includes a total contract price is not more than $597 million, with 2 PCTCs to be delivered no later than 2025 and 4 other PCTCs’ delivery not later than 2026.
 
It is understood that the 9,000 CEU Methanol dual-fuel PCTC to be built is the largest and most advanced PCTC in the world at present, which can meet the transportation needs of Europe, America, Africa and other long-distance routes. It is planned to adopt the latest methanol dual fuel main and auxiliary engine.
