On October 19, COSCO Shipping Shipyard (Nantong) held a contract signing ceremony for self-unloader "MV Northern Venture" conversion project for Canadian Shipowner McKeil Marine.
MV Northern Venture is a 155m long, 22m wide, 12.6m deep cement carrier with a load capacity of 19,651DWT. It has been converted into a self-unloader vessel equipped with single point loading system on deck, generators on deck, fore and aft thrusters, etc.
The "MV Northern Venture" conversion project of the McKeil Marine is another conversion order obtained by COSCO Shipping Shipyard (Nantong) after the conversion of three self-unloader vessels such as "ELANORA".
