China's largest domestic container ship makes its maiden voyage to Shandong port Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-10-18 11:44

On October 17, the maiden voyage ceremony of the first ship "ZHONG GU JI NAN" of the newly built "4600TEU largest domestic trade container ship in China" series was held in the Qianwan Port Area of Qingdao Port.

Qingdao Port is strategically located and occupies the center of the Northeast Asian port circle. It has leading terminal facilities and complete port functions. It is an important international trade hub in the Western Pacific and an important bridgehead at the intersection of the "Belt and Road". It plays an important fundamental supporting role in responding to the development opportunities of the country's "dual circulation", "the Belt and Road" and RCEP.

"On the occasion of the 20th CPC National Congress, “ZHONG GU JI NAN” made its maiden voyage to Qingdao Port, which is a tribute to the 20th CPC National Congress of the port and shipping industry!

"ZHONG GU JI NAN" has a deadweight of about 89,200 dwt, a maximum nominal number of loaded containers of 4,636 TEU, a main engine power of 14,000 kw, a design speed of 15 knots, and the endurance is 10,000 nautical miles.

The ship has G-ECO and G-EP marks, which is an important practice for Zhonggu to fully implement the concept of green, low-carbon, cyclic development and accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of shipping.
