On August 2, China's first LNG refueling carrier conversion project, "Hai Yang Shi You 301", held a steel cutting ceremony in Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard of CSSC.
It is reported that " Hai Yang Shi You 301" is an LNG carrier of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited. It is also China's first independent 30,000 cubic meter LNG carrier. It is built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding of CSSC, and delivered in May 2015, "Hai Yang Shi You 301" is 184.7 meters long and 28.1 meters wide. It has four independent C-type liquid cargo tanks built into the cargo hold and can carry 30,000 cubic meters of LNG.
As the EPC contractor of this conversion, Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard will add the LNG refueling function to the original LNG transportation function. After the conversion, "Hai Yang Shi You 301" will become the largest LNG refueling carrier in China and even in the world.
