Tianjin Global Offshore Engineering purchased "Global 1200" offshore vessel xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-05-25 16:40

On 19 May, "Global 1200" sets sail successfully. It will take 13 days to cross the Strait of Malacca, pass through the Pacific Ocean, and enter the South China Sea. It will reach the destination port of Guangzhou at the end of May. The ship was purchased by Tianjin Global Offshore Engineering.
 
The "Global 1200" is built by Singapore's Keppel. The ship is equipped with the world's most advanced DP2-3 dynamic positioning system. The whole ship adopts all-electric propulsion and sets up 8 thrusters, which can accurately determine the ship's position through satellite positioning.
 
With a length of 162.3 meters, a width of 37.8 meters, and a lifting capacity of 1,200 tons, it is equipped with S-Lay pipe rack and can work at a depth of 3,000 meters underwater, providing working and living space for 264 people.
 
"Global 1200" can operate in the global unlimited shipping area except the Arctic. The company has integrated and innovated a number of world-class equipment technologies, and its overall technical level and comprehensive operation capability are in the leading position among similar offshore ships in the world.
