Recently, COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore, a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry, has won an order from the Danish company Cadeler for building a high-standard wind turbine installation vessel, with the contract price equivalent to about 2.28 billion yuan. The contract also includes an alternative vessel building project of the same specification.
The wind turbine installation vessel ordered by Cadeler adopts the same specification requirements of the two high-standard wind turbine installation vessels agreed by both parties in June 2021. It can provide customers with integrated services ranging from single pile installation to turbine and blade installation for large wind farms.
