Container throughput of Yangpu Port hits record high in Q1 CCTV 2022-04-19 10:07

South China's Yangpu Port handled more than 400,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers in the first three months of 2022, hitting a record high, according to local transport and port authorities.

The quarterly container throughput of the Yangpu Port in the southern island province of Hainan has seen a year-on-year increase of 61.84 percent and a growth of 179.35 percent compared with the first quarter of 2020.

With a total of 47 berths of different types and 32 of them being 10,000-ton class or above, the Yangpu Port has the annual throughput capacity of 113 million tons.

The throughput capacity of the Yangpu Port has increased from 1.6 million TEUs to 2.2 million TEUs as the Xiaochantan Terminal's capacity improvement project, a dock of the Port, was completed at the end of last year.
