CIMC Raffles signs a series of letters of intent for wind power installation vessels xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-11-25 16:43

J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives, in cooperation with Havfram AS, has signed a letter of intent with CIMC Raffles in China to build a series of new generation wind power installation vessels.

The wind power installation vessel ordered this time will enter the market in 2024. The first batch of ships will be built at CIMC Raffles Yantai Shipyard and delivered in 2024.

Havfram has previously said that it is cooperating with Gusto MSC to develop a jack up installation ship, which operates on zero emission fuel and can install 20 MW or larger offshore wind turbines.

Havfram plans to operate multiple ships in the global offshore wind power market, including both traditional jack-up platforms for offshore wind turbine installations and feeder solutions specifically for the US market.

J. P. Morgan's Global Transportation Group is a company that develops, owns and operates a variety of aviation, maritime and land-based transportation assets. The group has a fleet of more than 100 ships.
