On October 20, Weng Jieming, Member of the CPC Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and Vice Chairman of SASAC, with the company of Cui Fenglin, Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province, and Miao Jianmin, Chairman of China Merchants Group, inspected Dalian Port of Liaoning Port Group.
 
Weng Jieming said that as a large-scale comprehensive central SOE, China Merchants Group must give full play to its own advantages to continuously improve the service capabilities and profitability of Liaoning Port Group and provide a strong guarantee for the healthy and high-quality development of ports in Liaoning. Liaoning Port Group should accelerate the pace of smart port construction while strengthening its main port business, and be committed to building a first-class smart port benchmark enterprise in China. Miao Jianmin expressed his gratitude to SASAC for its long-term care and assistance. He said that China Merchants Group would always bear in mind the rejuvenation of the Northeast and the reform of state-owned enterprises, give full play to its comprehensive advantages, fully support the development of Liaoning Port Group, and comprehensively enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Liaoning Port.
