COSCO SHIPPING Completes Fifth Donation of Medical Supplies to Greece COSCO SHIPPING 2020-04-28 09:46


On the afternoon of April 23, Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA S.A.) donated a total of 80,000 masks and 288 bottles of antiseptic to four municipalities surrounding the Port of Piraeus in Greece: Piraeus, Keratsini-Drapetsona, Salamis and Perama.
 
Mr.Fu Chengqiu, President of PPA S.A., attended the donation ceremony and gave an interview to local media. Noting that the Port of Piraeus is closely related to and mutually dependent on its surrounding municipalities, Fu called on  local residents to jointly overcome the outbreak of COVID-19. He expressed hope that the donated materials would help local epidemic prevention and control.
 
Mr.Grigoris Kapsokolis, Deputy Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Georgios Panagopoulos, Mayor of Salamis, Mr. Giannis Lagoudakis, Mayor of Perama and a government representative of Keratsini-Drapetsona extended gratitude to COSCO SHIPPING and PPA for the important support, noting that the materials would greatly ease pressure on epidemic prevention. The officials were glad to see the continuity of the operation in the Port of Piraeus during the pandemic and wished it sustained g growth.
