In August, Ningbo Zhoushan Port strengthened market development and internal management, improved port service level, and minimized the impact of adverse factors such as epidemics and typhoon on port transportation. This month, port transportation production continued to improve.

In August, The cargo throughput of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo reached 105.42 million tons, up 9.7% year on year. The container throughput reached 2.67 million teu, up 9.4% year on year.

From January to August, The cargo throughput of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo reached 784.73 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 4.3%. Completed container throughput of 18.63 million TEU, down 1.2% year on year, 1.6 percent less than the year-on-year decline from January to July.

In terms of container business, Ningbo Zhoushan Port continues to optimize the collection and distribution network, adding 1 foreign trade trunk line, 4 foreign branch lines, the total number of routes increased to 247.

At the same time, the sea-rail combined transport business continued to maintain a good growth momentum, completing 96,000 TEUs that month, a year-on-year increase of 35%.
