Chengxi Lauched the World-first 21,500DWT SUL Vessel with ABB AZIPOD Electrical Propulsion xinde marine news 2020-09-16 17:22


Chengxi Shipyard has drawn wide attention once again for having successfully launched a 21,500DWT self-unloading vessel on September 8, 2020. The new vessel is built for Oldendorff, the old friend and strategic partner of Chengxi.
 
Both strong companies cooperate to build the excellent vessel which features multiple technical highlights including the EMS self-unloading system with discharge rate of 2,600t/h or 3,250m3/h, the Liebherr heavy-duty CBG 360 cargo-crane which can provide 7X24-hour service as well as preventative maintenance arrangements, the ABB AZIPOD Electrical Propulsion as well as two sets of 1,200kw FPP bow thruster which can greatly facilitate to the flexible maneuverability of the vessel, as well as two sets of payloaders.
 
Chengxi has been working hard to update the newbuilding products, among which the 21,500DWT self-unloading vessel indicates a new breakthrough in providing owners with more personalized solutions.
