On March 7, the main structure of the No.2 dock reconstruction project, a key project of adaptability reconstruction of large cruise shipyard of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, was completed, which is known as "the longest dock in China".
 
The No.2 dock reconstruction project is the first reconstruction project started by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in order to adapt to the construction of large cruise ships. It was designed by China Shipbuilding NDRI Engineering and constructed by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering. The project was officially launched in October 2018. The dock reinforcement area reconstruction project was completed in April 2019,and the new dock room was officially delivered and put into use in December of the same year.
 
The project is to extend the existing dock from 540 meters to 200 meters on the landside, bringing the total length to 740 meters, to meet the needs of the construction of a semi-large cruise ship, or a large cruise ship and a large bulk carrier in series, so as to enhance its comprehensive efficiency.
