COSCO SHIPPING Attended the 110th Anniversary Celebration of Shanghai Maritime University xinde marine news 2019-10-23 17:04


On October 20, the 110th Anniversary Celebration of Shanghai Maritime University and the World Maritime  Conference 2019 took place in Shanghai. Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong and Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Sun Jiakang were invited to the event.
 
At the opening ceremony, Capt. Xu made a passionate speech. Reviewing their close cooperation over the years, he said COSCO SHIPPING and Shanghai Maritime University have connected missions, the same vision and integrated cultures. He pledged to deepen their cooperation to facilitate the Belt and Road construction, to serve national strategies such as building China into a maritime power and a country with strong transportation and establishing Shanghai as an international shipping center, and to promote the high-quality development of the shipping industry.

On behalf of COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Sun signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Maritime University. According to the agreement, the two sides will enhance cooperation in resource sharing, scientific research, talent training, academic exchanges and cultural advancement.
