Guangdong Energy unloads LNG cargo at two terminals xinde marine news 2019-07-08 14:56

China’s Guangdong Energy Group has reportedly has been forced to discharge a cargo at two separate LNG terminals due to the limited available storage capacity.

Citing sources close to the matter, Platts reports the cargo was discharged at the Dapeng and Diefu LNG terminals.

The LNG cargo was delivered aboard the Seri Camar liquefied natural gas tanker that lifted the load at the Petronas’ Bintulu LNG complex.

A portion of the cargo was discharged at the Dapeng LNG terminal on June 29 and subsequently discharged the remaining volume at the Diefu facility.

The partial discharge is a result of mild demand for natural gas which has the majority of southern LNG terminals operating at near full tank capacity.
