China's Second Domestic Large Cruise Ship Officially Named

On October 25, at the Guangzhou Tourism Development Conference, CSSC's subsidiary Adora Cruises announced the official name of China’s second domestically built large cruise ship: *Adora Flora City*. Inspired by Guangzhou, known as the "City of Flowers," this name embodies the vibrant energy of a maritime “Floral City,” designed to offer passengers an immersive and culturally rich cruise experience. Currently in the advanced assembly stage, *Adora Flora City* is set to be delivered by the end of 2026 and will operate from its home port in Guangzhou on international routes.

The *Adora Flora City* surpasses its predecessor, *Adora Magic City*, with a larger gross tonnage, extended length, and increased cabin capacity of 2,130 rooms, accommodating up to 5,232 passengers. Enhanced cabin layouts, expanded suite offerings, and an enlarged atrium will create an upgraded, comfortable cruise experience for guests.

Adora Cruises remains committed to a “Cruise + Culture” model, integrating Chinese cultural elements into its cruise design. *Adora Flora City* will feature an artistic blend inspired by the Maritime Silk Road and Lingnan culture, with floral themes throughout. Guests can enjoy a "Sea Garden Plaza," an open social space inspired by Guangzhou’s rich flower culture, which will host entertainment, relaxation, and social activities with changing ambiances throughout the day.

Adora Cruises’ expansion into the South China market taps into the Greater Bay Area’s (GBA) advanced cruise ports like Guangzhou Nansha, a hub with high demand for luxury cruises and robust infrastructure. The GBA’s connectivity via air and high-speed rail makes it an ideal base for *Adora Flora City* to reach travelers from central and southwestern China.

Ahead of *Adora Flora City*'s 2026 debut, *Adora Mediterranean* will kick off its Guangzhou season on December 18, sailing international routes to Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam. Adora Cruises is on track to become Asia’s largest cruise operator, providing diverse itineraries and cultural experiences for an expanding audience, already serving over 380,000 guests to date.
