World's first Suezmax LNG dual fuelled crude oil tanker delivered

On June 28, Guangzhou Shipyard International, a subsidiary of CSSC, delivered the world's first Suezmax LNG dual fuelled crude oil tanker (158,000 DWT LNG dual fuelled crude oil tanker) in Nansha, Guangzhou. At the same time, it is the largest LNG dual-fuel green ship built in South China. When the ship is propelled in LNG mode, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 20%, nitrogen oxide emissions by about 85%, and particulate matter and sulfur oxide emissions by about 99%.

 

Suezmax refers to the Suez Canal navigable conditions as the upper limit, dead weight ton of about 150,000 tons of ships. The tanker has a total length of about 274 m, a width of 48 m and a depth of 23.7 m. It has a service speed of 14.2 knots and meets TierIII emission standards issued by the IMO in both fuel and gas mode.

 

The series of tankers, owned by Singapore Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), is planned to build two tankers. The construction contract was signed on December 3, 2019. It is the first Suezmax tanker built by GSI. It is understood that GSI has been the world's largest ship type, the most complete series of liquid cargo manufacturers.
