On April 17, the first 5,800-meter lane ice-rated multi-fuel RoRo vessel built by CIMC Raffles for Wallenius Sol returned to Yantai wharf. The trial run in fuel mode was successfully completed on 20th, February.
The conceptual design of this series of the vessel was from Knud E. Hansen, a well-known Danish design company in the industry, leading the market in terms of emissions, ship type design, and ship systems. CIMC Raffles conducts general contract construction and flies the Swedish flag.
The vessel is 241.7 meters long, 35.20 meters wide, has a lane of 5,800 meters, and a speed of 20 knots. It is equipped with two 685-cubic-meter C-type LNG storage tanks and is equipped with an efficient LNG dual fuel propulsion system that meets the requirements of Finland-Sweden 1A Super ice class and antifreeze. The endurance, speed and ship maneuverability of the main engine under fuel and gas modes have been tested, and the delivery conditions are available.
