Yangfan christened and delivered the first 1868TEU container ship to Ningbo Ocean Shipping

On November 16, Yangfan Group held a christening ceremony for the first 1868TEU vessel "XIN MING ZHOU 98" built for Ningbo Ocean Shipping at Zhoushan Shipyard, and signed the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement".
 
The ship "XIN MING ZHOU 98" adopts the SEALION series container ship design developed by SDARI. SEALION 1868 is a "standard Bangkok type" container ship. The ship has reached international standards in terms of ship intelligence, green environmental protection, and energy efficiency.

The ship has a total length of 171.95 meters, a width of 27.50 meters, a structural draft of 14.30 meters, and a maximum deadweight of 23,750DWT. It is currently the largest international sailing ship in Ningbo Ocean Shipping.
 
The ship adopts a series of advanced intelligent and green technologies such as intelligent engine room system, energy efficiency management system, liquefied natural gas (LNG) power system presets, etc., and has been awarded i-Ship (M,E), Green Ship I, CLEAN, EEDI(II+), DFDR(H, m), and AMPS by China Classification Society (CCS).
 
Compared with ships of the same type in the market, it has stronger loading capacity and lower fuel consumption per tank.
 
On March 20, 2020, Zhejiang Seaport Shipping, a subsidiary of Ningbo Ocean Shipping, and Yangfan Group signed a contract for the construction of 4 1868TEU container ships.
 
The first ship of this type of ships, "XIN MING ZHOU 98", started construction on September 17, 2020. After delivery, it will be put into the company's Southeast Asia route operation, further optimizing the structure of Ningbo Ocean Shipping’s fleet, contributing to expand the "Belt and Road" route.
