Waigaoqiao completed 3.55 million dwt construction before August


On September 11, as the world's first self-propelled Fast4Ward “universal” Floating Production Storage and Offloadingvessel (FPSO) completed and left the factory, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has completed and delivered 21 vessels from January to August this year, with a total of 3.55 million dwt, up 10% year-on-year, ranking the first among all shipbuilding enterprises in China.

According to statistics, the products delivered this year include CJ50 offshore jack-up drilling platform, platform supply ship (PSV), 400,000 DWT VLOC, super-large FPSO, Newcastle bulk carrier and capsize bulk carrier, a total of 21 ships, which has laid a solid foundation and increased confidence for the full completion of the annual production plan.

Continuous production was realized in March. Currently, 137 structural sections are under construction, accounting for 21% of the total sections of the whole ship. Among them, 6 sections have been finished painting.

In May, the sectional pre-outfitting project was fully launched. In August, the first cabin section duly entered the new phase of the overall group. The production of cruise liner pipes started, the sheet sections passed the audit of continuous starting and transition phase, and the second phase of L3 Mock up internal installation project started as scheduled.

Detailed design completed 69.9%, material procurement completed 76.6%. At the same time, the ship's special dock extension, sheet center plant and other shipyard adaptive renovation projects have been completed and delivered. The orderly implementation of a number of milestones has laid a solid foundation for the final assembly at the end of the year.

Waigaoqiao Sipbuilding is known as the No.1 shipyard in China, and its delivery volume has been ranked No. 1 in China for many years.
