The world’s most influential maritime leaders will convene in Singapore for the Global Maritime Forum’s Annual Summit on 30-31 October 2019.

The Global Maritime Forum - an international not-for-profit organization committed to shaping the future of global seaborne trade - has chosen Singapore as the venue for its 2019 Annual Summit. The high-level meeting will bring together key industry leaders with policymakers, experts, NGOs and other influential decision-makers and opinion shapers to address global challenges and opportunities that are particularly important to the maritime industry.

“The maritime industry is undergoing a transformation that has potential to bring about positive long-term change for the industry and society. This will require closer dialogue and collaboration amongst public and private stakeholders from the international community. We look forward to welcoming key leaders from around the world to Singapore next October,” says Andrew Tan, Chief Executive of Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore.

Strategically located in the heart of Asia, Singapore is one of the world’s leading maritime hubs with a great representation from the entire maritime value chain. It is home to some of the busiest terminals in the world, accommodates a strong offshore sector, houses a large number of international shipping groups and a wide variety of maritime service providers.

“Singapore’s maritime cluster is known for its continued innovation and strong focus on talent development.  It connects Asia with the rest of the world which makes Singapore a natural meeting place for our next Annual Summit where we expect to see wide regional and international representation. The meeting will explore new solutions to collective challenges and seek to unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth,” says Peter Stokes, Chairman of the Global Maritime Forum.

Attendance at the Global Maritime Forum’s Annual Summit is by invitation only. It is hosted in cities around the world on a rotational basis.
