1.Seaspan Corporation announced a framework agreement on April 2, regarding a strategic cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd. The two companies will enhance their collaboration regarding LNG investments, LNG projects, LNG transportation, ethane transportation, or other related and mutually beneficial projects.
 
2.China Dynamics signed a cooperation agreement with four business units under China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC). The parties will develop new generation electric ships and new electric ferryboats, with the technology being applied in other suitable vessel types and promoted in Hong Kong and markets globally. 
 
3.Orient Overseas International Line (OOIL) has signed a deal with COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and JD Logistics to jointly invest in online logistics platform Eshipping.
 
4.COSCO SHIPPING Ports Signs Investment Agreement of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Supply Chain Project with Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technology Development Zone Commercial Bureau.
 
5.China's iron ore futures finished higher on Wednesday.The most active contract for May 2019 delivery finished the day session up 5.34 percent to 690.5 yuan per ton. 
 
6.LNG's potential to become Asia's dominant fuel, as the region transitions away from coal to cleaner energy, will only be realised if the industry can work together to lower costs and overhaul trading conditions, senior Chinese energy officials said at the opening sessions of LNG 2019 in Shanghai. 
 
7.Swedish engineering group Alfa Laval has entered into a contract with a Chinese shipping company for the maintenance of scrubbers on a total of 31 vessels.
 
8.China's COSCO Shipping has confirmed it will call at the port of Liverpool after a successful trial last October to offer its clients more efficient services between Britain and Canada.
