China's apparent consumption of natural gas totaled 23.32 billion cubic meters in August, up 21.3% from a year ago.
China produced 12.9 billion cu m of natural gas last month, up 9.7% on the year; gas imports rose 37.3% to 10.72 billion cu m in the month.
August's average price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) rose 5.0% from a month ago to 3.23 yuan/m3 on the Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange; that of pressurized natural gas (PNG) stood at 2.03 yuan/m3, up 1.0% from July.
