1.The United States' liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry is at risk of losing out in the growing Chinese market,as the trade war between the two countries continues to escalate ,analysts said. 
 
2.CNOOC said it would provide more liquefied natural gas resources to northern parts of the country this winter, with truck delivery set to meet increasing demand to avoid shortages. CNOOC has so far imported more than 120 million tons of LNG,reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 400 million tons,according to the company.
 
3.Steamship Mutual P&I Club has announced that the Hong Kong Insurance Authority has formally authorised the Club to establish a Branch in Hong Kong from 17 August 2018.

7.Hong Kong's shipping industry entering a new era.The nation's 13th Five-Year Plan(2016-20)has reaffirmed Hong Kong's pivotal role in the development of China as a whole.And the central government emphasized its support for Hong Kong to consolidate its global finance,shipping,and commercial sectors.
 
8.According to Reuters, Chinese oil traders have started to switch their cargoes to ships owned by Iranian tanker shipping company NITC in an effort to ensure oil shipments despite the US sanctions.
