On November 5, China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) Co., Ltd. (“Chimbusco”) and Singapore-based Consort Bunkers Pte Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Shanghai. Qin Ling, Party Secretary and General Manager of Chimbusco, Deputy General Managers Jiang Shi and Hu Boxing, Consort Bunkers Managing Director Yeo Siok Keak, and representatives from the Transaction Banking Division of United Overseas Bank (China) Limited attended the signing ceremony.
Qin Ling noted that Chimbusco and Consort Bunkers have maintained a strong business relationship over the years. Establishing a long-term and stable strategic partnership marks an important step for Chimbusco in pursuing its goal of becoming a “world-class, technology-driven marine fuel service provider” and in advancing the development of a clean marine fuel supply chain.
Yeo Siok Keak emphasized that through multi-dimensional strategic cooperation leveraging each party’s strengths, the two companies will significantly enhance the service capabilities of their global bunkering networks.
Looking ahead, the two sides will deepen collaboration in key bunkering markets and ports—including China, Singapore, and the Middle East—focusing on the construction of clean-fuel bunkering vessels, barge operations and management, market development, and other areas. Together, they aim to explore new models and pathways for building a modern marine fuel supply chain and contribute to the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of the maritime industry.
