Chinese company builds container terminal for Ghanaian port xinde marine news 2018-07-19 16:37


New container terminal being built in Tema,Ghana.The port expansion project is about 40 km east of the capital Accra.It is constructed by China Harbor Engineering Company.The project involves reclamation of around 120 ha of land from the sea.Expansion work began in July 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2020.Up to now,around 35 pct of the project has been finished.Once completed,the terminal will have a 1.4 km-long quay and four deep-water berths.It will be capable of loading and unloading some of the world's largest container ships.
