On October 15th, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and COSCO Shipping Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Shanghai. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Wen Gang, Party Secretary and Chairman of CSSC, Mr. Wan Min, Party Secretary and Chairman of COSCO Shipping Group, and Mr. Zhu Bixin, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of COSCO Shipping Group. Mr. Sheng Jigang, Deputy General Manager of CSSC, and Mr. Sun Yunfei, Deputy General Manager and Chief Accountant of COSCO Shipping Group, represented both parties to sign the agreement.
Prior to the signing, the two parties engaged in fruitful discussions on strengthening communication and deepening cooperation across various sectors.
Mr. Wen Gang welcomed Mr. Wan Min and his delegation and introduced CSSC's recent business developments. He emphasized that under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, CSSC has been striving to become a world-class shipbuilding enterprise. Both CSSC and COSCO Shipping Group, as state-owned enterprises in Shanghai, have fostered a strong partnership over the years. Wen expressed the hope for further collaboration between the two companies to contribute to China's ambitions of becoming a maritime and shipping powerhouse.
Mr. Wan Min shared updates on COSCO Shipping Group’s development and reiterated the company’s commitment to advancing China’s maritime, transportation, and shipping industries. He commended CSSC's remarkable achievements and highlighted the potential for the two companies to expand their cooperation, particularly in areas like technological innovation and green shipping, as part of their shared goals for high-quality development.
Senior representatives from relevant departments and member units of both companies attended the event.
This significant agreement between CSSC and COSCO Shipping Group marks another step forward in their joint efforts to drive innovation and sustainable development in the maritime and shipping industries.
