Ningbo Zhoushan Port's container throughput exceeds 35 million TEUs xinde marine news 2023-12-29 11:43

As of 18:00 on December 28, the cumulative container throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port in 2023 has increased by 5.5% year-on-year to 35.05 million TEUs,making it the world's third port with an annual container volume of more than 35 million TEUs.


It currently operates over 300 container routes, including 250 international routes and 130 "One Belt, One Road" routes.


In June this year, it completed the first bonded LNG refueling operation for international vessels, and following that, it has carried out the China's first offshore dual-fuel refueling operation for bulk vessel and the China's first offshore biofuel refueling operation for container vessel, which further consolidated the port's 4th place in global ship bunker port rankings, and pushed Ningbo-Zhoushan to the 9th place in the ranking of  international shipping centers.
