Qingdao Beihai Shipyard & GTT signed LNG Technical Service Agreement GTT 2023-11-03 11:56


On November 1, the ship repair branch signed a technical cooperation agreement with France GTT company and obtained the repair qualification of membrane LNG ships authorized by GTT. Yao Hongshan, deputy general manager of the company, Sun Shumeng, director of the ship repair branch, and relevant leaders, Adnan Ezzarhouni, general manager of GTT China, and Wei Wei, commercial manager of GTT China, attended the signing ceremony and conducted in-depth exchanges.

In order to thoroughly implement the company's high-quality development, the ship repair branch took the initiative to contact GTT, and in order to meet the needs of LNG ship repair, it successfully renovated the LNG repair workshop, passed a series of strict qualification audits by GTT, and finally successfully signed the contract. According to the technical cooperation agreement, the two parties will cooperate on various LNG ship projects to provide shipowners with more ship repair solutions of more specifications and types to better meet the growing needs of green ship repair in the future.

The qualification certification of GTT and the signing of the technical cooperation agreement by GTT have provided a strong guarantee for Qingdao Beihai Shipyard and Repair Branch to enter the LNG ship repair market.

GTT is a French company specializing in thefield of LNG cargo containment. It is the leader of LNG carriers in thissegment. At present, GTT has two patents for liquid cargo containmenttechnology, MARK series and NO series, and occupies more than 90% of theworld's market share in the field of LNG liquid cargo containment system.
