Chinese steel prices extend decline in mid-Aug Sxcoal 2023-08-25 14:18

Steel products prices in China saw an overall decrease in mid-August (August 11-20), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
 
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China fell 57.5 yuan/t or 1.6% from ten days earlier to 3,639.7 yuan/t during this period.
 
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 3,848.9 yuan/t in the same period, down 46.2 yuan/t or 1.2% from ten days ago.
 
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,043.3 yuan/t, 50.3 yuan/t or 1.2% lower than the preceding session.
 
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) declined 65.8 yuan/t or 1.6% to 3,972.2 yuan/t.
 
Seamless steel tube dropped 25.1 yuan/t or 0.5% to 4,662.5 yuan/t.
 
Angle steel decreased 66.0 yuan/t or 1.6% to 4,037.6 yuan/t, data showed.
