30 March 2023 - CMES Shipping and PetroChina International Co., Ltd. signed a special strategic cooperation agreement in liquefied gas transportation in Hong Kong. CMES Chairman Xie Chunlin and Wu Junli, executive director of PetroChina International signed the agreement on behalf of the respective parties. CMES President Wang Yongxin presided over the signing ceremony. Present were also CMES Vice Presidents Xu Hui and Hu Bin.
Xie Chunlin pointed out that the strategic cooperation between both parties in liquefied gas transportation opens a new chapter in deepening business cooperation between PetroChina International and CMES. This is also an important milestone in the building of CMES's LNG operating and management platform. He hoped that both parties would fully leverage their respective advantages and deepen cooperation to a new level.
Wu Junli said that as the external trading window of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), PetroChina International spares no effort to build up international trade. This agreement marks the first cooperation between both parties in gas transportation and a breakthrough in cooperation. He hoped that both parties would work hand in hand to create a new chapter in energy cooperation.
Additionally, both parties discussed business cooperation and development, and intelligent operations.
This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between both parties in liquefied gas transportation, jointly enhance business competitiveness, and ensure high-quality business development.
