MPA issued a statement on incident involving prime mover at Keppel Terminal Xinde Marine News 2023-02-01 09:06

At about 0200 hrs on 31 January 2023 (Singapore time), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) Marine Safety Control Centre was alerted that a prime mover with the driver in the vehicle had fallen into the sea at Keppel Terminal Berth. 

The MPA patrol craft was deployed immediately to set up a cordon to assist in the operations. The body of the driver was recovered from the prime mover by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). The person was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.

There is no impact on traffic movement in our port waters. Investigations are ongoing.
