DNV's Fleet Management Software Hit By Cyber Attack DNV 2023-01-10 09:24


DNV confirms its ShipManager software was victim of a cyber-attack on the evening of Saturday 7 January. DNV experts have shut down ShipManager's IT servers in response to the incident.
 
All users can still use the onboard, offline functionalities of the ShipManager software. ​
 
At this point in time there are no indications that any other software or data by DNV is affected.​   
 
DNV experts are working closely with global IT security partners to investigate the incident and to put in place a technical recovery plan and will ensure operations are online as soon as possible.​   
 
The ShipManager solution is sold from DNV AS, and DNV is in dialogue with the Norwegian police about the incident.
