On November 13, the first ship of the Coral floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project, which was developed by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in Area 4 of Mozambique project, was shipped out.
Mozambique Area 4 Coral floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project is a world-class ultra-deep sea FLNG project with a water depth of more than 2,000 meters. The first FLNG vessel is located in the northeast waters of Pemba, northern city of Mozambique. With a length of 432 meters and a total weight of 220,000 tons, it can be called "offshore oil and gas aircraft carrier" with over 1,000 kilometers of cable laying. The project is designed to produce more than 3.3 million tons of LNG per year.
The Mozambique Area 4 project is jointly built and operated by Eni, CNPC, ExxonMobil, Mozambique Rovuma Venture S.p.A, Galp Energia and Kogas. CNPC holds a 20% stake.
