On September 28, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China jointly issued the Implementation Guidelines on Accelerating the Green and Intelligent Development of Inland Vessels.
 
By 2025, According to the guideline, breakthroughs should be made in green power technologies such as LNG, batteries, methanol and hydrogen fuels, the level of intelligent technology of ship equipment should be improved, and green and intelligent standards and specifications for inland vessels should be formed. Foster a number of green and intelligent inland vessel design, construction and operation enterprises.
 
By 2030, green and intelligent technologies for inland vessels will be fully promoted and applied, supporting infrastructure, operation management, business model and others will be improved, batch construction of standardized and serialized green and intelligent vessels will be realized, and a modern industrial system for inland vessels will be established.
