On September 26th, CLNG and Shenzhen Gas held the signing ceremony of LNG shipping cooperation agreement in Shenzhen. Xie Chunlin, chairman of CMES and CLNG attended the signing ceremony.

Shenzhen Gas purchased an 80,000 cubic meter LNG carrier from Hudong-Zhonghua, which is the first LNG carrier owned by Shenzhen's state-owned enterprises, enhancing Shenzhen Gas' ability to purchase natural gas resources independently. Shenzhen Gas confirmed its intention to cooperate with CLNG in August 2022. The first ship is expected to be put into operation in early 2023.

China LNG Shipping (Holdings) Limited (CLNG) was incorporated by China COSCO Shipping Corporation and China Merchants Group in Hong Kong in March, 2004(with China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd., and COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation Co., Ltd., each holding a 50% stake). CLNG is the first company in china specializing in LNG shipping, covering LNG transportation project research, investment, supervision and management of LNG carriers.
