On September 3, the opening ceremony of Shanghai Port Northeast Asia Empty Container Dispatching Center was held in Yangshan Port Area of Shanghai Port Group.
At present, all facilities and equipment have been fully completed, and the empty container center yard has been officially put into operation.
The Northeast Asia Empty Container Dispatching Center will promote the interconnection of ports and shipping companies, and provide empty container services for shipping companies and customers in Northeast Asia, China's Yangtze River Delta and Yangtze River basin.
From January to August 2022, imports of empty containers in Shanghai Port increased by 8.7% year-on-year.
