The Smart Port Global Innovation Lab also proposes five central tasks：The innovation and research of the port industry scenario scheme; ICT Industry application verification of new technologies; Participate in the Port、Maritime、Channel、Formulation of digital norms and standards in shipping and other fields; Promote innovation in the relevant field successful communication; Provide talent training practice environment and technical support for the digitization of seaports.
