China's first "transport + lifting" offshore ship - "WU DONG DE" delivered! Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-06-30 15:42

On June 29, China's first "transport + lifting" integrated deep-sea offshore wind power construction ship - "WU DONG DE", jointly built by China Three Gorges Corporation, China Merchants Group, CSSC and CCCC, was successfully delivered!

"WU DONG DE" has made new breakthroughs in new technologies and intelligent applications, and is in a leading position in China in terms of energy-saving effects and public safety standards.

The ship is fully electric driven and is equipped with an eight-point mooring positioning system and a DP 2-level dynamic positioning system to meet the needs of navigation in unlimited navigation areas, and has the conditions for operating in far-reaching seas where wind energy resources are more abundant, further boosting the development of offshore wind energy from offshore to deep sea.

After being officially put into operation, it will mainly operate in the sea areas of Guangdong and Fujian, which will further improve the level of China's offshore wind power infrastructure and provide strong support for the concentrated and contiguous large-scale development of deep-sea wind power and to achieve the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality".
