On June 10, the second 80,000 m3 LNG carrier built by Hudong-Zhonghua was delivered ahead of schedule at Changxing Shipbuilding Base. The sister ship LAGENDA SURIA was delivered on May 26. The world's largest shallow waterway fourth-generation LNG carrier, the first river-and-sea coordinated transport LNG carrier was named "LAGENDA SERENITY".
This type of ship has a total length of 239 meters and a width of 36.6 meters. The tank type is GTT NO. 96 L03+, and it is classified into ABS.
The construction team also set two new records:
● The dock period only took 6.5 months, 3.5 months shorter than the " LAGENDA SURIA ";
● The total construction period was only 18 months, two months earlier than the LAGENDA SURIA.
Once put into operation, the two vessels will transport 1.5 million tons of LNG annually from The Malaysian Bintulu port to Shanghai, providing a continuous supply of clean energy for Shanghai's economic development and urban construction.
