On June 2, at Nansha phase IV terminal, gantry crane captured the containers and placed them on IGV automatically in accordance with the instructions automatically issued by the information system.

IGV then uses intelligent algorithm to automatically plan the path, transport the container to the yard, track crane automatic alignment, grab the container to the specified position.

This is the first automated container terminal in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Currently, it has entered the stage of regular full-process joint adjustment and testing, and aims to be delivered within the year.

It is understood that after the completion of Nansha phase IV project of Guangzhou Port, the annual container throughput of Nansha Port is expected to exceed 24 million TEUs, ranking first in the single port of the world.
