Hudong-Zhonghua delivered world's largest shallow waterway LNG carrier Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-05-26 15:00

On May 26, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, jointly with China Shipbuilding Trading, christened and delivered the 80,000 m3 LNG carrier "LAGENDA SURIA" to the joint shipowners "K"Line, ICBC Leasing and Shenergy Group.
 
"LAGENDA SURIA" is not only the world's largest shallow waterway fourth-generation LNG carrier, but also the first river-and-sea coordinated transport LNG carrier in China.
 
This type of ship has a total length of 239 meters and a width of 36.6 meters. The tank type is GTT NO. 96 L03+, and it is classified into ABS.
 
From January to May this year, Hudong-Zhonghua has undertaken a total of 23 self-developed latest generation 174,000 m3 "Chang Heng Series" LNG ship construction contracts, with an amount of more than 30 billion yuan, far ahead of the world's major shipyards.
