The Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China issued plans for upgrading coastal ports Xinde Marine News 2022-05-20 15:52

Recently, the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China released the implementation plan of 11 major transport projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, including the upgrading of coastal ports, expansion of the capacity of golden waterways and canal connectivity. In addition, the north side of Xiaoyangshan container terminal project, Ningbo Zhoushan port navigation facilities project and other water transport projects were included in the first batch of key projects.
 
In terms of port construction, we will promote the coastal port upgrading project to build world-class port clusters in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the  Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao GBA, the International gateway port in the Beibu Gulf and the International hub port in Yangpu. Mainly includes the north side of Xiaoyangshan container terminal project, Ningbo Zhoushan port navigation facilities project, Caofeidian port of coal transport capacity expansion, Beibu gulf international gateway port, Yangpu international hub port and navigation facilities engineering, Tianjin port area of northern Xinjiang phase C, Guangzhou Nansha port area five period, Shenzhen Yantian port east working area container terminal project.
 
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with the focus on international hub ports and major ports, we will promote the development of specialized terminals, collection and distribution systems, and public infrastructure for crude oil, iron ore, grain, and liquefied natural gas, and strengthen the capacity of grain terminals for transit, storage, transportation, and distribution.
