China's first LNG-powered cement carrier was successfully launched Xinde Marine News 2022-04-28 16:57

On April 23, "ZHONGJIRUNQING 106", the first LNG-powered cement carrier in China was successfully launched in Zhaoqing.
 
"ZHONGJIRUNQING 106" has a total length of 61.55 meters, a width of 10.8 meters, a depth of 4.3 meters, a load draught of 3.35 meters, a deadweight of 1,500 tons, and a design deadweight about 500 tons.
 
It can navigate in A-class inland navigation district, realizing real-time working condition monitoring of LNG-powered vessels and communication between ship and shore.
 
It is reported that the port throughput of Zhaoqing is expected to break through 200 million tons within 2 years. China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. said that it will vigorously promote LNG-powered cement carriers, and plans to invest 300-500 cement carriers in the Pearl River within 3 years, helping to revolutionize the transportation mode of bulk cement.
