SPG finishes 1st intl ship trade business transaction SPG 2022-04-15 10:16

Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity, finished its first international ship trade business transaction at the Shandong Port Ship Transaction Comprehensive Service Platform on April 7.

The service platform, which was launched in October 2021, offers comprehensive services related to ship trade, such as ship bidding and ship financing and insurance. The platform is expected to promote the high-quality development of SPG's service industry.

Authorities said that the development of the ship trade business is expected to boost the modern high-end shipping service industry of SPG, and will help the group build itself into an international shipping hub in the Northeast Asian region.

SPG will beef up efforts to strengthen its ship service functions, and build a complete industrial ecosphere for the development of the ship trade business, in a bid to build it into the most influential ship trading market in North China.
