Yangshan Port completes China's first LNG bunkering order Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-03-15 13:55

On March 15, the world's largest LNG bunkering ship "AVENIR ALLEGIANCE" successfully refueled  about 7,000 m3 LNG for the large container ship "CMA CGM SYMI" stopped at Yangshan deep-water port under the remote monitoring of Shanghai MSA and the on-site alert of maritime patrol boats, and realized the simultaneous loading and unloading of containers and bunkering of LNG fuel.

This is the first time for Shanghai port and also the first time for a Chinese port to provide LNG bunkering operation for a large LNG dual-fuel powered container ship.
With the joint efforts of all parties, after about 10 hours of operation, this bunkering was successfully completed, which is "China's first LNG bunkering order" for international sailing ships.

Today's successful bunkering marks that Shanghai port, along with Rotterdam port and Singapore port, has become one of the few ports in the world with LNG bunkering service capability.
