On September 6th, Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute and Guangzhou Shipyard International held the signing ceremony of desulphurization system for 8 16000TEU container ships.

As the latest generation of green, energy-saving large container ship, equipped with scrubbers, to meet the latest environmental emission standards.

The desulphurization system not only achieves the desulphurization effect of 0.1%S, but also takes into account chimney layout (no loss of container position) and operation safety (no strong alkali), which is very friendly to shipyard manufacturing and ship owner operation.

This project is another in-depth cooperation between 711 Institute and MSC in the field of ship exhaust treatment after the desulfurization system transformation project of 19000TEU container ship.

It is also the first cooperation between 711 Institute and GSI on ship desulfurization system after several previous marine desulphurization system projects.
