1.US energy major ExxonMobil signed a sales and purchase deal with Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group for liquefied natural gas supply.Under the agreement, Zhejiang Energy is expected to receive 1 million metric tons per annum of LNG over 20 years, ExxonMobil said in its statement on Monday.
 
2.Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation (CSET), the tanker unit of state-run China Cosco Shipping Corporation, has announced that Huang Xiaowen has resigned as the chairman and executive director of the company due to a change in work arrangement.
 
3.Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Group has held a steel-cutting ceremony for four new Azimuthing Stern Drive (ASD) tugs.
 
4.Hong Kong-based Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has purchased two Supramax bulkers from Greek shipowner Chartworld Shipping Corporation.
 
5.The Yantai government hosted an investment promotion conference in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province on April 20, aiming to attract more local companies to invest in the coastal city.
 
6.China's crude oil futures settled higher on Tuesday.The most active contract for June 2019 delivery gained 2.49 percent to 498.3 yuan per barrel, data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange showed. 
 
7.South Korean major Hyundai Merchant Marine unveiled its plans to expand cooperation with Russia’s FESCO on their China Russia North Service (CRN).
 
8.There has been consistent effort to be ready for cleaner power as the demand for LNG grows within the country. This can be easily highlighted in the rapid increase in LNG receiving terminals in the last 5 years.There were only 9 terminals in 2013, as compared to the 19 terminals in 2018. This number will continue to grow as China heads towards the magical annual import figure of 100 MTPA by 2025.
