On July 2, Hudong Zhonghua and CSSC Leasing renewed the construction contract for a 174,000 m3 LNG ship.

The ship type contracted this time is the world's mainstream 174,000 m3 LNG carrier. Hudong Zhonghua has upgraded its technology on the original basis. The ship has a total length of 295 meters, a width of 45 meters, a depth of 26.25 meters, and a speed of 19.5 knots. It is the world's fourth generation XDF dual fuel propulsion 174000 m3 LNG ship.

CSSC Leasing has previously ordered two 174,000 m3 LNG ships in Hudong Zhonghua. It is reported that the order is part of a total of 36 newbuilding contracts signed by CSSC in Beijing in 2019, and it will be delivered in 2021 as planned.

Hudong Zhonghua has rich experience in the design and construction of LNG ships, and the construction technology has reached the world advanced level. It is the only enterprise in the industry to build No.96 and Mark III membrane LNG carriers at the same time.
