China has built 25 natural gas storage sites in over 10 provinces or municipalities, which could supply 11.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, Xinhua reported, citing an industry forum.
Daily natural gas production from these storage sites could reach as high as 90 million cubic meters, according to the forum.
These sites provided natural gas for 30-40% of the peak consumption in Beijing during the winter high demand season.
